Senior Pastor: Keith Vaughan
Good Hope Baptist Church has a long history of ministry to this community. While the community has dramatically changed through the years, the Gospel message is still the same. In today’s culture, it is even more important to minister to people from a Gospel-centered worldview. We unapologetically believe in the power of the Gospel to transform lives. Every week, Good Hope proclaims to this community and to the world that Jesus Saves. It is a joy to serve alongside each of you on our mission to carry the Gospel to every nation until every person has heard!
I was born and raised in northeastern North Carolina. My wife Edna and I have two children, Danielle and Dustin. I am a graduate of Chowan College, Campbell University and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Southern Evangelical Seminary. Throughout my 30 years of ministry, I have served churches in North Carolina and Tennessee. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, eating fried food at the NC State Fair and collecting sports memorabilia.
Associate Pastor to Children & Families: Andrew Barclift
It is a joy to serve in ministry at Good Hope. To be a part of the work that God is doing through Good Hope Baptist is a blessing. This is truly a church filled with people with a desire to grow closer to the Lord. The people of Good Hope are friendly, caring, welcoming, and passionate about the Lord and His work. It is my prayer that, through the Lord’s guidance, incredible things would happen to spread the love and gospel of Christ! I was born and raised in Chesapeake, VA. I became a Christian at a young age and God gave me a desire to serve Him in ministry during my early college years.
In 2007, I graduated from Southeastern College, Wake Forest, NC with my Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. I earned the Masters of Religious Education from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, VA in 2010. Shortly before moving to North Carolina to begin school at Southeastern, I met my future wife, Jasmine. We were married on April 26, 2008(one of the best days of my life!) and shortly thereafter packed up and moved to Blackshear, GA. I served in my first full-time ministry position as Minister of Children and Young Families at the First Baptist Church of Blackshear, GA. In January, 2010 we arrived at Good Hope and look forward to seeing the Lord at work in our lives and the lives of the families of Good Hope.
