Welcome to missions at GHBC!
GHBC recognizes that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has commanded us to “go and make disciples”, to minister unto “the least of these”, to “feed my sheep”, to “serve one another”, to “love others as we love ourselves”, to look to the needs of others ahead of our own and summarily to “pour out your bodies as a living sacrifice”.
We understand that our lives are to be spent glorifying our great God. Accordingly, GHBC’s Missions Team faithfully leads our church in organized missions opportunities that include annual international and regional mission trips, monthly (and often weekly) collection and distribution of clothing and and other basic needs for the homeless, ministering to the seniors in local nursing homes, carrying the gospel to the mission field that surrounds our church through door-to-door evangelism and invitations to various services offered at GHBC, ministering to the community through free (no donation accepted) car washes, ministering to nearby group homes for children, participation in Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child (i.e. shoe box collection), delivering free prepared Thanksgiving meals to those in need, serving at the local rescue missions, involvement in pro-life ministries, and more.
Additionally, in coordination with World Help ministries, God has called and enabled us to receive offerings through our church family to fully fund and build a home in Uganda for abandoned babies. If you have a heart to serve through missions, you will find abundant opportunities at GHBC.
For more information regarding opportunities for you to get more involved in missions, look in your weekly bulletin or contact Jerry Hamm (Missions Team Chairman) at or (919) 455-6353. And to God be all the glory and honor.
How great is our God!
